When to flush out the H20 cooling

Using distilled water without any additives, when should I flush out the system? I know it's DI water, but is it still possible for anything to grow in there?

3 months is the longest you should go. And the water can go bad. It can pick up stuff. Also nothing is algae proof unless its performance proof.
