hmm bump, I'm also interested.

Any word on whether the features of this board mainly agp 8x and serial ata will really be beneficial in time to not outrun the life of this board? Cuz I figure that when agp 8x and serialATA are really being used, that a motherboard with a better via chipset and bandwidth and all will be out.

I'm not sure why everyone thinks this, but S-ATA is not a function of the KT400 chipset. All KT400 boards with S-ATA have add on controller chips like RAID chips on today motherboards. If S-ATA is important to you, you do not need a KT400 board to use it. There will be S-ATA PCI cards that will do the same thing.
