When To Add Printer Memory

In what situations is there a benefit to adding more memory to a laser printer? For example, does it help increase the printing speed for print jobs that contain a lot of graphics? Does it help in situations in which there are many small jobs being sent to the printer at the same time? Does it let the printer print documents that it couldn't print with the smaller amount of memory?

memory doesnt help with speed. memory helps in printing complex documents\images. sometimes, the memory on the printer is not enough to allow for the printing of such files. you'll get a printer error, and the printer will spew out garbage. that has happened to me, it's also why i added 8 MB to my printer, for a whopping 9 MB total (max).

With enough memory in the printer, the computer can send an entire doc to it in one shot, freeing the computer of the task of monitoring the printer and sending data in chunks. Depending on your setup, this can speed up your work on the computer while printing. It can also add a little speed to the printer when printing complex graphics.
