When they say you beat the average in smog test

I just passed a smog in CA and the guy showed me where my emissions, etc. beat the average. Is that for my year, model and make of car or all cars?

Ah, do you know this for a fact? That the competition for this is my make and model and year and not all cars? I could call the state. I called them a few weeks ago because I was steamed that they were making me go to a test only station the last 2-3 times. I was told that it's in my car's profile. The guy said that they are progressively changing all cars over to test only stations and they'd have it done already if there were enough stations to satisfy the demand. Pretty soon it will be a requirement for everybody.
