I don't think you can use scare tactics on somebody that is already insane. I'm sure they already know the outcome.
Basically this. I doubt there are many folks delusional enough to think they won't die if they go on a killing spree.

Also, I have no problem with "gun control". The problem I have is with idiot politicians and libtards claiming certain guns are more "dangerous" than others (automatic weapons excluded). That and limiting the number of rounds in a magazine make a gun "safer".

Sorry, just had to put that out there.

That will never happen. NRA is too powerful a lobby and they want everyone to have unrestricted access to guns.

That will never happen either. Nobody wants to pay for it and there is no profit in it for the United Corporate States of America.

Ahh, listen to the stupid flowing. Yeah, the NRA wants everyone, including these whack-a-doodles, to have unrestricted access to guns.

NO interest in arguing any real point here, huh? Just respond to try to get people's dander up?

1/10 troll.

It's hard to figure out how to really have that discussion and get anything done though. I totally see the NRA's viewpoint. They simply resist every attempt to limit firearms in any way because they know that one concession will slowly lead to another until one day they've lost everything. It think they're right to believe that as well. People have a tendency to not look back and see how many restrictions have made it through. They only see the things left over that haven't been restricted yet. It's the nail that sticks out that is begging for the hammer, not the line of nails that you just got finished hammering.

They understand their opposition better than a lot of the people who make up the opposition understand themselves. They're never going to be "done" restricting firearms, at least not until there are no firearms left. They'll just keep moving on to the next nail that's sticking out until none are left.

Why is this in offtopic?

because the admins are left wing nut jobs

Any right wing political topic that pops up in here is locked or moved. Left wing shit? Fair game.

I mean...what better forum than off topic to talk about broadcasting bullet ridden bodies on TV? I mean..what else would we talk about in off topic?

 Yes, because we all know what happened after Sandyhook when all those Federal gun control bills were passed into law... oh wait, there weren't any.

And this thread isn't about gun control you idiot.

I think we should simply report the facts in the news. No emotional ploys and political crap. Just say "Today a gunman shot X number of people. We give our regrets to their families" and move on.

The media already glamorizes killers, crazies, and nutjobs. Our reporting simply encourages people to continue the trend.

You could make up a game called "Dick Sledging" where you hit random strangers in the dick with a sledge hammer. Convince the media that it's a trend and they will report it, bring in experts on dick sledging, etc. Fast forward a month or so and you will find a thousand kids out dick sledging.

Jules, do I recall correctly your bragging mentioning more than once that you actually own guns yourself?

Doesn't that make you a "gun nutter" by your own definition, or does that label only apply to gun owners who aren't hypocritical leftards?

Shouldn't we be afraid that you're going to eventually flip out and go on a shooting spree, or is that only a possibility for gun owners who aren't hypocritical leftards?

Agreed, we give way too much attention to these idiots... which is exactly what they want I guess.

1. Yes

2. No, because I do not think all gun owners are nuts (myself included).

3. No, see response above.

Oh, and I took the liberty of removing the bullshit political nonsense from your post. :colbert: You're welcome.

Yeah, what he threw out there really made very little sense.
