The term wasn't invented then, and even if the term had been it wouldn't really apply in the modern sense. Of course the terminology used by the white settlers then was something along the lines of "bloodthirsty savages," but that doesn't mean the Indians didn't have legitimate grievances.
The 1700/1800 Americans were taking territory that they felt was given to them via the government.
How they took it was flawed. An arrogant governement was operating on the idea that only a "white man" should have rights. the problem was the Europena countries felt that they were superior and could dictate to others ccording to their own standards. What the native population operted on was of no consequence..
This has happended whenever Europe has attempt to colonize foriegn lands.
And now the trolls will try to apply it to the ME situation.
Make sure the trolls realize that it was the Europeans that created that mess and then left it for the natives to clean up.
And the natives have not been able to clean it up yet, due to the European style of meddling. (countries outside the area assisting proxies)

Comparing the number of people killed by hitler and dead American indians isn't fair. You should compare the percent of different tribes killed to the precent of Jews killed. American indians are not one entity and they had different tribes and cultures.
I don't think it's worth getting too much into because, again, Hitler's actions don't speak to US actions before Hitler. I'll leave it at this: I don't think you can call it a genocide against catholics and the others aren't aren't a race (or even a broadly linked group of races like the American Indians). Anyway, if we control for population increases over time and the factor below it seems like the American deeds were staggering...
I've seen estimates that about 95% of the North American population was wiped out.
I am not bashing the present day Europe for the current problem.
I am pointing out that the European influence toward colonization that existed from the 1400s->1900s has created this problem
The first Americans were European.
It was the European countries (England, France, Spain) that "deeded"/sold the majority of the land to the American government. They just claimed the land based on their own explorers without regard to who already resided in the area. Boundaries were drawn based on the European policitical maps.
The ME was carved up by the European countries/League of Nations the same way Africa and the US was.
The tribal boundaries meant squat.
And that has caused all of the middle-eastern problems then? It seems like you were suggesting that was the case and that the US needed to come in and clean it up (oddly by striving to keep the same messed up borders (e.g. Iraq and Kuwait)) and completely ignoring the ongoing US role in middle-east mischief.

I don't think it would have mattered on bit if france and the other European countries had sold the land to the US or not. If they didn't claim it we would have taken it.
