When the heck is the Vertez 3 coming out?

I thought it was supposed to be March 22nd for the release of the vertez 3. Has then been moved....

More delays, I guess. Seeing that that pre-release drives were so good, I'm kinda concerned.

I mean, if the drive performs so well already, then the delays aren't related to performance. That means that either long-term reliability/stability, or production issues are in question here.

Not trying to flame, I'm just looking at it critically.

Although being a V3 beta tester has given me insight that I cannot share due to NDA, I will speculate that recent fixes instituted by Sandforce in the V2 firmware revision 1.32 is going to be instituted into the V3 firmware as well.

And since the V2 firmware just came out last week there may very well be some last minute flashing to improved RC firmware sharing much of the same coding/fixes going on here as well.

The last thing OCZ needs at this point is for the V3 to come out of the gate with sleep/detection issues, right?

From what I hear on the forum, V3's are starting to ship very soon and the drives will be in stock right at the end of the month/beginning april.

well... if I had to speculate even moreso than usual?.. I would say "BOTH".

Also figure the first batch's will sell out quick though, so good luck waiting in that line as it's half way round the block already. lol

no.. wait.. er.. don't wait.. I was wrong again. They are pulling all shipments back so they can release them all at once via air drop. Look for them on shelves yesterday.

seriously though, OCZ has recently said there is some additional delay which I assume to mean some last minute firmware revision flashing. The waiting seems to be getting to more than a few around the forums. lol

yeah, I hear a lot of that right now. Surely some supply and demand trickery going on here, IMO.

If you're not absolutley dying with all new parts and no drive to run it.. I'd wait for 2-3 weeks and things will settle down some with SRP's as originally slated.

ugh, Ill probably get an agility/vertex 2 then.

I need to do reinstall of windows and replace my p67 board thats seemingly completely fubar and I was hoping to wait till I could get a new gen SSD, but I was thinking I could get one around 200 maybe, but that seems a few months away still
