For instance, when talking to someone else about your parents individually, how do you refer to them?

Example:
My mom uses Itunes and I hate it.
I smashed my father's table and windshield.

I'm 27 and use mom and dad most of the time. sometimes i use mother and father.

I call my dad Pop. Mom is still mom. I'm 27.

I'm pretty sure I say pop because that how he referred to grandpa.

edit: Oooh when talking about them. Then usually I say mom and dad.

I only ever knew one of my grandfathers (other one died either before i was born or when i was a baby), and my sister and I called him Pap Pap. Thats what my dad wants my niece to call him. she just says Pap though.

When talking general, I refer to them as mom/dad and mother-in-law/father-in-law.

When talking to them with kids around, I refer to them by the nick-names the kids came up with.

I use "Moms" a lot becuase it's fun to say.

Ex: I've got to call my Moms and say hi.

Anyone who calls them "the 'rents" needs duct tape over their mouth.

Mom and Pops. At least when I talk to them. If I'm referencing them in a conversation/text I say Mom & Dad.

"She who gave her milk to nurture my life" and "He who fertilized an egg to bring forth a son". But usually, it's just Mom and Dad.

my parents: mom and dad (ie: my dad only eats hamburgers charred to a crisp)

other people's parents: mother and father (ie: Joe's mother is a total milf)
