When taking a turn, SUV drivers do not have their own lane!

It seems that every now and then as I take a left turn, not a short one though, some SUV driver has to come right into my way because their turn wasn't wide enough. So far I've slowed down enough so they didn't hit my car and were practically right in front of me once the turn was finished and onto the lane.

So far though, they had one more thing in common besides the huge car. They were women :Q :Q

Before this turns into a flame war, I don't hate SUV's or women :D

It's the womanness, not the SUVness. I drive a vehicle that makes the average SUV look like a sports coupe and have never done such.

Also 80% of people in parking structures. Whenever they get to a corner, half of the car will be in the lane goign to the other way. Every once in a while, when I see a new 50k+ car, I'm so tempted to just let them hit me instead of honking and cussing at them.

Like on a dual turn lane situation? Yeh, I've noticed that. But then again usually only 1 in 3 people seem to know how to properly use a dual turn lane.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean. Problem is, I don't want to have to mess with getting my car repaired even if their insurance has to cover it

i like when people change lanes when turning, not realizing that the lane next to them is the one that goes where they just went

As obvious as this may be... SUVs need to be driven differently. The higher center of gravity requires a wider turn to feel like a gradual turn. What the woman should've done was take the turn slower.

You are a good exception :D

Actually, many of the men driving SUV's seem to do just fine

lol, how do they transport those anyway?

I am assuming big roads :D

Or did you mean when they make them?

Probly lots of little parts with tab a and tab b printed on then :D

The smaller ones go on wide-load semis, the bigger ones get broken down and moved via rail

So because someone hasn't been driving for 16 years means they are not able to make observations about others who OBVIOUSLY don't know how to drive? You're a dumbass.

At this point in time, I would like to share my near-death experience while sitting in a friend's car a while back. Her MOM was the one driving it, and it was some family sedan.

Three lanes turning right (opposite of US over here), and we were in the extreme right lane.

First mistake, she started moving out when there were still cars coming in the opposite direction. Those cars had to swerve to avoid her. She stared straight ahead and didn't seem to realise what had happened. Me, I was trying very hard to move to the other side of the back seats, so I won't get killed if the van had plunged right into our car.

Then green turning arrow came on, and so all 3 lanes started turning. She went from extreme right lane to the extreme left lane when we finished the turn. WOOHOO!! Yes! 3 lanes turning at once, and she somehow didn't realise that! ALl this while the guys behind her were swerving and HONKING the hell out of her.

I really didn't know if she didn't realise, or if she thought people SHOULD give way to her cos she was a woman driver.

All I told my friend at the end of the ride was to let me know when her mom was driving. I'd make sure I wasn't on the roads then. :)

I've got a few pics of a service truck that was ran over by one of those.
Hey, EyeMWing, watcha drivin? I've got a Topkick with a 22k GVWR. Right now I weigh in at a spritely 17k and 20' long.
