Scroll downwards, always starting around channel 5 and then I will make liberal use of LAST so that when I can settle on two shows that are only mostly (not entirely) crap I can last back and forth. Two such shows might be The Girls Next Door and Scrubs.

I start at channel 2 and go up from there. For some of the higher channels I will input them - but always in sequential order

usually starting at lowest going higher. but if there are 99 channels and I want to get to channel 69, and im at channel 2, obviously going backwards is the most logical.

Usually crappy and local channels are on your way down, so TTT all the way for me

We never scroll, we enter channel numbers.

Depends on where I am. If I'm on a higher channel, I'll go down. If I'm on a lower channel, I'll go up.
