When super heroes fight, why do they get knocked flying

Zodd is NOT just a 200lb sack of potatoes, even unaware. Remember, Clark Kent walked out in front of a taxi without paying attention and totalled the car. He didn't even get scuffed, much less moved an inch.

So Superman, or Zodd, just standing on the sidewalk eating an apple is still like hitting the Rock of Gibraltar....he is in now way just a 200lb dead weight that isn't braced for impact.

Now take him and prepare him for a fight....he swings, misses, and then gets tagged.
Should be just like two boxers....head might get snapped around, a little spittle goes flying, maybe it's a really good lick and he gets knocked down or even back a couple of feet.
But he shouldn't go flying to the top of the tallest building. IMO

yes but you are forgetting the strength of superman. he is (arguably) the strongest in the (comic) universe. the punches are so powerful they send him flying from the force of them. But considering how strong and invulnerable superman is while it hurts him it does not kill him.

also it helps to remember it is a comic or movie
