When you are stretching your legs, are you supposed to feel pain while stretching them? Pain = being stretched correctly? If not, what are you supposed to feel?

Yeah it isn't like it's painful where it hurts like hell. It is a good feeling pain.

I think it should be a little painful. Just do something you can hold for a few seconds rather than seeing how far you can lunge.

I feel pain. You get use to it. When you don't feel the pain anymore at that angle or depth then your more flexible. Just keep working and you can do the splits.

I can do the front splits. Not perfectly strict but a dam sight better then most people.

Depends on the type of pain.

If it is a constant, dull, pulling kind of pain, then yes that is good.

If it a sharp, stabbing, tearing kind of pain, then no that is bad.

Well that would happen when you are *bouncing* or you are stretching too far too soon. Go easy and build up the pressure then its okay.
