Well, i think that im going to get my feet wet ion this whole OC business.

I basically got out all i can of reading countless OC guides...(the exprience of actually going through the process should be priceless)

Here is a quick run down of how im going to approch OCing my system.

First i want to change the dividers for the so that im not OCing the HT, or the RAM.
Now when increasing the HTT only the CPU is getting OCed.

One of my questions is in what increment do you raise the HTT at? 1Mhz, 10Mhz, 20Mhz...? (whats common)

After the HTT is raised i will then run the PC for a good 12 hours of Prime95 and normal use.

If i do not get any errors in Prime, or random crashes in winXP, ill raise the HTT another "X" amount of Mhz.

Ill Keep on doing this until i find out the limits of my CPU.

I just basically want to know if this is the basic idea on how to approch OCing.

Not sure about HTT, but usually increments of 5 is fine when raising the FSB. You could start off at 10, but may need to dial it down to 3-5 when errors start popping up.

Also, there is no need to run 12 hours of Prime after every increment increase. Basically, up the values and then run 10 mins of Prime torture test. Keep pushing until you get an error in Prime or the system locks up. Then keep adjusting so that you can run P95 for 10mins at the highest FSB/HTT setting. Once you got that value, then run P95 for 12 hours and see if it's stable.
