Hey...

Should I upgrade my GF2 Ultra? I loved my GF3 Ti 200, but it fried this morning (it's screwed, I voided my warranty and such so ... yeah). I miss the beautiful anisotropy.
Anyways, should I just throw down and get a GF3 Ti 500? Should I wait for the GF4 Ti4600? How much of a speed / price difference is there? Or should I just wait for the "GF5" line?

THANKS!

I would recommend waiting for either ATi's R300 core or the NV30 core, as current games do not use DX8, and likely won't for a bit. By the time they do, a GF3 will be undesirable, which is why I suggest ATi's R300 (to be out in late summer/early autumn) or the aforementioned NV30 (to be out in approximately a year, which may be too long to wait).

Unless you want to play at resolution greater than 1024x768 in the newer games are want to use FSAA then your Ultra will be fine for at least 6 months if not longer.

Agreed, unless you're itching for a newer vid card, I would wait til the GF4's are around for a while. Let the price drop on everything else before buying....
