When should I buy my new computer and ram ?

Should I wait after christmass or should I buy my ram NOW in order to save if prices get higher ?
Do you think prices will actually get higher or get like what it was a month ago ?

One more thing, I was thinking of buying the Athlon XP 1600+. How far can I overclock this nice CPU ? Should I get a faster one ?
I'll have a radeon 8500 with that machine...

If everything starts to turn around the prices will go up eventually. It is a good idea to buy now but really it's a guessing game now. Analyst don't expect things to get better until after 2nd quarter next year. But they could be wrong becasue 6 months ago they said it should happen around 4th quarter this year. I would recommened getting some.

I currently have 256 pc 133 for my Athlon 600 but I'll buy a new computer soon so i'll need 512 DDR ram.
