i would love all wood floors. if i wanted to make it warmer in the winter, i would get some great area rugs, but thats just me. i would think the majority want carpet.

carpet... hardwood can be nice but carpet is prolly more valuable for resale

WRONG. Hardwoods are one of the easiest things a person can do to increase the value of their home. If you put down hardwoods you can instantly increase the value of your home by about 10K easy. If you do it yourself then you will pocket most of the increase.

I personally prefer carpet in the bedrooms, hardwoods in the living room/dining room, and tile in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Unless the carpeting was something especially nice, I would prefer to see clean, well-maintained hardwood floors in a prospective house I'm purchasing. I prefer area rugs than wall-to-wall carpet anyway.

carpet, I hate cold feet when I get up to pee. Hardwood is also going to be detrimental to any sex that occurs off, or partially off the bed.

Not if she is into pain and/or pleasure.
