One of the tweaks that we all know (most of us, I assume) to speed things up in a regular PC is to set your computer's "typcial use" as a "Network Server".
Well, after reading AT's awesome RAID article, and looking at the benchmark graphs it occurred to me that the result differed widely, depending on the computer's role: file server, database or workstation.
Ergo, my question. When running a RAID O array, what do you set your computer as? Darn, I've posted more today than in the past month combined...I need to give this poor keyboard a break!
