I think that a lot of people do indeed hold off on their more critical and derisive posts until a clear "winner" has been decided. Me, I'll agree with known asshats in one thread, then make fun of my favorite members in another, depending on how I truly feel about the topic.

Its not like we all see each other and can argue face to face or break out in fistacuffs. This is a place where we can make claims without ever backing them up.

Even if you don't have to choose sides, I really only read the first dozen or so replies before making my thoughts known.

I only steer clear if it's ugly. I don't give a crap what people think of my opinions because I feel the same about their's.

Overall, though, if I read a thread, I prefer to question anything that just doesn't sound right, regardless of what side it's taking.
 
I say it like it is, and as most have noticed, it normally hits me back. But hey, that's my opinion and if you don't like it, you can either accept it or go fsck yourselves; I'm always up for a good debate, though.
 
At times I just get amazed at the BS spilled and feel compelled to counter the lies.
I don't care if anyone agrees, I'm right and I wouldn't post if I wasn't.
If I don't have enough info to make a firm choice I'll be the first to admit it.

I usually just post whatever bullshit pops in my head at the time, no matter how stupid it sounds dam the consequences. It makes sense to me at the time. 🙂

Sometimes I'll steer clear of the really fiery ones, since I know if I post and someone attacks me, I'll feel compelled to defend myself...

The worst is when you get someone who posts something inflammatory but somewhat ambiguous..you try to attack their main points, but they pull a Neo move and dodge every attempt, and then misrepresent your position and totally demolish that straw man, then imply that YOUR stupidity or bad debate skills were to blame. I'm too easy to troll 🙁
