An ancient underground city? Me neither. Dang it, I've always wanted to.

:
A 50-year-old man identified as Mustapha Bozdemir decided to renovate his simple one-story structure he inherited five years ago in the Melikgazi district from a dead relative only to discover a mysterious room which led to a massive subterranean tunnel system with cave-like rooms underneath the house. Further findings revealed that what Bozdemir, who is a native of Anatolia region in Turkey had discovered was an ancient Derinkuyu underground city in Turkey carved from the rock in Cappadocia thousands of years ago.

That's a neat story, although I assume this is spam and I will get a free iPod for endorsing your post.

Not as uncommon in that region of Turkey as you might think.

The underground cities and structures are carved out of unique geological formations. They may have been used as hiding places during times of raids. The locations are now archaeological tourist attractions. They remain generally unoccupied. In excess of 200 underground cities containing a minimum of two levels have been discovered in the area between Kayseri and Nevsehir. Some 40 of those contain a minimum of three levels or more. The cities at Kaymaklı and Derinkuyu are two of the best examples of habitable underground structures.

I would love to see one. I'd be wary of Draugrs, though. 😀 Luckily I have good sneak and a bow...
(they are shelters and cities more than tombs, anyway)
