When playing UT3, occasionally hitting any key minimizes all windows

I noticed this since I switched to windows 7. Every now and then while I'm playing UT3, suddenly every second key I press will make the game and any other program minimize. It's not confined to just the game, but it does seem to be caused by the game. I end up having to reboot the computer as I cannot even use the keyboard within windows when this happens as it just keeps minimizing everything.

Has anyone ever experienced this before?

I had a somewhat similar issue in UT 2003/2004, but it only involved the UT2003/2004 application window itself (sometimes, it would minimize and couldn't be maximized again without killing the process and restarting the machine. You could hear the sound from the running game, but couldn't maximize the window).

I never did come up with a solution (always suspected it was either a video driver issue or some type of glitch related to running on Win7 64 bit), but did find that restarting the machine before running UT2003/2004 greatly increased the lag time between occurrences of the problem.

You could always try running the application in compatibility mode, or even as administrator to see if it might be some weird compatibility or permissions problem. It is also possible you could have a keyboard glitch where Windows somehow thinks you are pressing a Win-key+D combo (which minimizes all open windows to desktop).
