When mailing your college apps, did you use anything special?

I filed all of mine online. Colleges just enter your application into a computer anyway.

They don't require a hard copy of transcripts?

I used 17th century English in my college apps. It gave it a more rustic and sentimental like value.

Heh heh. They said to do it in English, but they didn't say which English...

Two of mine were done online, but the one I sent out, I used registered mail. Why? Because I'm an effing idiot and mailed it out on a Friday a few days before the deadline )next Monday/Tuesday).

They don't trust an unofficial copy anyways so your school has to send them a copy directly.

I sent official copies myself. They just said, "unofficial if seal is broken" on them

only did 1 college application and it was online.

unless rules have changed, your school has to send the transcript.

I put stamps on mine. ;)

Actually, I did everything online. The only 'manual work' that was required is I went to my high school and asked for them to send a copy of my transcript to my college of interest. (I took some years off between HS and college, so they needed a resubmission)

I actually received the transcripts from my school in a sealed envelope and had to mail them out myself.

Cheap bastards
