It's so hot and stingy that I am, I bought a fan.

I need some basic physics help.
There is cool air outside during the night.. now

Do I...
1. Put the fan next to the window facing inside (bring the cold air in?)

2. Put the fan inside the room facing outside the window (blow the warm air out?)

3. Just make the air flow in a circle in my room ( just make the air move )

point the FAN so that it blows toward you. it will suck in the cool air from outside and blow it at you.

Well, I don't know about all the physics of it but I know that I point my fan toward the inside just so I get air blowing on me.

You want to bring the cold air to the thing that needs to be cooled off (you).

Gawd. Haven't you ever done case air flow setups?

Knock out two opposing walls and fill each hole with fans... one "fan wall" facing inside, and the other "fan wall" facing outside.

1 box fan blowing out a window at one end or side of the house and an open window on the other side (where you are) will cycle air through the entire space between the open windows and worker wonders like an attic fan

im gonna guess that having it blow on you would cool you off far more than having it 'suck' air away from you. evaporative cooling. splash some water on your neck and then have it blow on you. talk about the CHILLS! cooooold.

You want air to enter from one side of your room and go out the other. Your choice on whether you want the fan to suck or blow. But if you want to cool fast, bottle of water mixed with alcohol, spray into the air.. Cools the air instantly.

Even with the window closed, you'll feel a lot better with a ran blowing directly on your head or chest.

You can fill a wastebasket with ice, point the fan into the wastebasket and cold air will come out
