Like I said a page isn't an integer unit. Kind of like how saying some one is less the 6 feet tall means they can be 5.9 feet tall. It doesn't mean they are 5 feet tall.Originally posted by: Perknose

It means you can have 4 full pages of text. If you have any text on the 5th page you went over. A page isn't an interger unit so less the 4 includes 3.0, 3.5 or even 3.99999....
The answer is, it can't!
OP, if the prof or teacher wanted you to write 4 pages or less, they would have instructed you to "write 4 pages or less"!!!
The highest amount that is "strictly less than 4 pages" is 3 pages!!
Why else would the instuctor use the word "strictly"? :shocked:
Because page measurement are not very accurate no one is going to complian that a paper is 4 pages, any additional characters end up on the next 5th page, when they say less then 4 pages.
