Really seems to depend on the person. I never realized how completely into looks/social status so many people are until I started reading boards like this one. I hold out some hope that it's just a bunch of freaks talking out their butts, but who knows.

That being said, I don't see how you could have a relationship if the two people involved don't find each other at least somewhat attractive. With no attraction there'd be no sex, and with no sex, well, *shudder* that just doesn't even need to be considered. The key is that different people find different things attractive and/or unattractive.
