When is Vega Due?

First it was 2017 H1 - possibly not 'til June or so next year, now I'm hearing next month:

This is massively confusing. My Fury is a great card but for Deus Ex Mankind Divided I need something faster, if there's nothing out soon, then I've no option but a 1080. Does anyone know what is going on?

WCCFTech is a rumor site. This might be correct, it might also be completely wrong. AMD said 1H 2017 so I suggest you stick to that.

If you can't wait that long get a 1080. CES 2017 is in 3 months, we might not more by then. If the card is really coming end of the year we will probably know it in a month or two.

According to AMD, Vega is coming in the first half of 2017. WCCFTech regularly makes stuff up, so don't trust them as a source.

And Lisa Su have said in July that Vega comes WITHIN 2 quarters.

I think very soon there will be quite a lot more understandable. Today this post appeared on Macrumors forum: http://forums.macrumors.com/threads...-macos-w-how-to.1984213/page-11#post-23682044

Read the posts that come after. He may be wrong, after all, I think he is trying to extrapolate what is happening, however few things are interesting in this perspective.

What he means about RX 470 and 480 in macOS is that the KEXTs for the GPUs are available in the system, however the GPUs are not able to work properly, they work in the same way as Baffin does, with exactly the same level of performance. What this means is that there is Ellesmere GPU support in the system, however not for RX 470 and not for RX 480. So the support is there for what?

There's a chance that we'll see something new from AMD by the end of this year, but it might not be what you're waiting on. The 1080 does come close to locked 60 fps in 1440p, but it's also 600$. Personally I would hold on to that card until I can get a 1080Ti or equivalent for that amount...

No chance. AMD itself says 1H 2017 for Vega.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did a Polaris x2 card if Vega is late, which is not what he's waiting on 😉

pretty sure xfire-on-a-stick cards don't sell well because they're kinda pointless. Better off buying 2x RX 480s.
They take the same amount of slots as a single card, that is there point.
So i would rather have 2x Polaris x2 cards then 4 Polaris cards.
