When is the next price drop for Athlon XP CPUs?

Now that the Semprons are starting to be sold, how soon until the 2600 or 2400 athlon XP cpus drop in price?

I'm planning an inexpensive system using a shuttle AN35 ultra motherboard and would like to save some cash.

Thanks,

Bartons and slower xp's are being phased out, so I doubt prices will go much lower. I got 2 Fry's combo deals to use as spares recently. A 2600 barton with ecs nforce2 board was $75, and an xp2200 with pcchips board was $50. I built several pc's for family and friends using Fry's combos, so the spares may come in handy someday if any of the originals fail.

Yep, based on what I've seen (same articles everyone else has probably been reading), I wouldn't be at all surprised if prices start to rise a little on the AXPs.

outpost.com sometimes has deals with that shuttle board or ecs and a tbred
like this thread

PS: yeah I bet the mobiles will start going up in price when they get scarcer, but that won't be for a while and then the Socket 754 A64s should be somewhat cheaper.
