When the jury weighs the evidence and comes to a decision.

Did you expect that some-one outside the legal process would wave a magic wand and say that the jury has to come to a conclusion before the week-end so it can make the week-end tabloids?

The thing is, sure all these kids who've accused him could be lying. The real problem is he's stupid enough to put himself in that situation to begin with. After the first kid accused him...don't you think you'd say "woah...no more kids having sleepovers with me". Obviously anyone with reasonable intelligence would. So to me it's pretty obvious he's guilty as hell and deserves what he gets.

He may not be guilty as hell; just of stupidity, arrogance and many loose screws (much more than an average ATOTer that can not google).

For the lawyers here, what's the general rule of thumb in correlating deliberation time and the verdict? ie, if the jury takes 5 days or more is the defendant *usually* guilty?

Me too. The longer they deliberate the more I think it signifies that the evidence is shady or the charges unclear.

I don't know about that... he looks more like a pitcher than a catcher... and he'll almost definitely be the catcher in prison.

That would make him guilty of not having reasonable intelligence, which is not a punishable crime, else OT would be awfully quiet..

Are you kidding? MJ would whip out his army of undead backup dancers and rule the prison with an iron c0ck.

Well, the jury criteria for guilt is not the same as ours... they need to be able to convince that he did THAT crime beyond a REASONABLE doubt. Now, he might have diddle other kids in the past, but did he do it to this kid? Personally i think even though the prosecution put up a good case, i wonder if it's beyond a reasonable doubt.
