The thing is, sure all these kids who've accused him could be lying. The real problem is he's stupid enough to put himself in that situation to begin with. For the lawyers here, what's the general rule of thumb in correlating deliberation time and the verdict? ie, if the jury takes 5 days or more is the defendant *usually* guilty?

Me too. The longer they deliberate the more I think it signifies that the evidence is shady or the charges unclear.

That would make him guilty of not having reasonable intelligence, which is not a punishable crime, else OT would be awfully quiet..

That would make him guilty of not having reasonable intelligence, which is not a punishable crime, else P&N would be awfully quiet..

Well, the jury criteria for guilt is not the same as ours... they need to be able to convince that he did THAT crime beyond a REASONABLE doubt. Now, he might have diddle other kids in the past, but did he do it to this kid? Personally i think even though the prosecution put up a good case, i wonder if it's beyond a reasonable doubt.
