2006 for the original trilogy :(

And do you know that Lucas is actually going to screw up his so called "Special editions" even more? He is refilming some scenes for them! I heard he is filming natalie portman for some return of the jedi scenes! what the hell! I really hope they offer the original and unmodified ones.

It may be "his vision for the films" but I think Lucas is senile now and I don't trust his judgement...the new films can't approach the greatness of the originals.

Really? How the hell are they going to make her look older than Luke and Leigha? Where did you here that from?

You can get the triligy from here. True surround sound, transfer from laser disc I believe. Extremely good quality...there are soem problems with the DTS surround on one of the films, but the Dolby Digital works well on all. Complete with chapter select, subtitles, etc... very well done.

oh, and I will gladly pay extra money for George to include 3 extra DVDs that contain the original theatrical releases of Epiosdes 4-6. DO YOU HEAR ME GEORGE?!?!?!?!? Feel free to continually bastardize the movies all you want, but at least offer me the original versions too!

I, for one, can't wait for the original trilogy to make its appearance on DVD. Judging by The Phantom Menace DVD, I would imagine that the original trilogy DVDs will be nothing short of spectacular. 2005/2006 seems a long way away.

But why would she only be in Return of the Jedi? Why not earlier ones? That is so stupid!

I saw at my Half Price bookstore the other day the ORIGINAL Star Wars Trilogy for $19.99. Almost bought it, but I have the Special Editions already on VHS as well.

Peace,

I would imagine it would be towards the end of the film where Luke and Leia are talking about their mother and Leia says "She was very beautiful." Probably some sort of flashback. I think it could be interesting, but I hope they make it the same quality as Return of the Jedi is. If they film in like they did in Attack of the Clones, it will look too clean (I'm talking about actual film quality, 2002 versus 1983) and fake.
