when is the best time for an interview

Should I interview early?

when is the interviewer in the best mood? near the end of the day?

If I am competing with 3 other people for a position, is it best to go last?

For the two jobs I've had, the interviews lasted all day and a few people were considered for the position. In both instances, others had interviewed on days previous to me, but the offer was made to me.

It's not clear whether they just stopped interviewing when they found what they wanted or if I just happened to be last both times.

In my opinion, the cream will rise to the top regardless of the order. If you're all about the same, then it might matter...

I've found late day they are werry and just want to hire someone and spend a care free night at home. Much harder on the early ones, less with late day ones. You're there, its late, you can walk and talk, so your the lucky one. The early ones may have already had other interviews and no longer interested. I'd go for as late a possible. You'll luck out.

i don't know whose advice to take
early or late?

I think all the candidates are similar... and the company said all 4 were "strong"

If I go in the morning, my mind might not be awake since I'm not a morning person and they may grill me with questions

If I go late, the anticipation anxiety might kill me

The best was signing up for interviews in college. You could choose your own time, so I would look for the biggest loser I knew on the list. Then I'd go right after him. I was a superstar in comparison.

All the interviewers I've talked with said that by the end they're tired and just want to get it over with - if you go near the end they probably won't pay as much attention to you.

HOWEVER, if there are only 4 people, it probably doesn't matter.
