People said that it was going to hit $200, so far only NewEgg has come close with a price at $210...

The OEM Sapphire 9800Pros are also readily available at newegg for... $208, I think? Or maybe $212.

I don't think they'll go any lower until a few months after the next gen of cards is released. But I also didn't think they'd go this low this fast based on the prices last year! Since NVIDIA has stopped trying to aggressively undercut ATI with the 5900 cards (you can get the 5900XT for about $180-190, but not $160-170 like you could a while back), I don't think we'll see much more movement for now.

I don't think there will be any big price drop anytime soon. Maybe in a month or two it will be common to find them for $200. Once the new gen cards come out I would expect $200'ish to be pretty common at least. But you may be waiting awhile. The $210 is pretty close and probably wont change much anytime soon so why not go with that? Its only $10 :)

The 9800 Pro was only available for $208 on New Egg for a few days, because it was on sale. Before I had checked and it was at $212. Now it's at $210. It seems to be getting lower and lower by a couple dollars every few days, so it won't be long before it will hit $208 again (this time as the regular price), and eventually the $200 mark. However, it's rediculous to be willing to pay $200 for it, but not $210, IMO.

I think it has. I read Gateway had a deal that had a $30 rebate putting it at about $190. Check out Hot Deals forum.

Its only 10 bucks more....just pay for it! Is the 12 dollar difference really worth the wait?

Wasen't the Saphire R9800Pro 128 going for $138 at one point? Albeit only for ~16 seconds, it is, IMO, a good sign... (unless its like those 250GB's for $25, or the WD 80GB SE for ~$20)

Compgeeks had a retail Powercolor 9800 Pro for $156 a while back, I think only me and the original poster of the deal got in on it before they ran out :)

That Gateway deal is killer too, would've bought that had I not scored on that Powercolor deal.

$210 with FREE shipping isn't close enough for ya?

(I have that Sapphire 9800 Pro card and it's great.)

Or you can go directly to the ATI website and do their competitive deal - $250, and they credit you back $50 when you send them ANY video card (think: ISA Diamond Stealth in the closet). Total cost, $200 for a made-by ATI card.

once you consider $15 or so for shipping, the gateway deal is a lot hot

OR staples has a 9800 pro for $299, pricematch it with mwaves $219, use 30 of coupon and you're set
