hey, i think that the mobile processors are perhaps the best buy out there, since i am an overclocker. i hear that the 2800+ will come out, but have no clue when they will. anyways, if i cant get my 1800+ overclocked, then i'll go for a mobile in the summer.

I'm pretty sure they'll do only "marginally" better than the current crop of XP-M's. YMWV.🙂

it will be the same situation as now. 2400's are almost if not the same as 2600's. I've heard just as many people with 2600's reaching 2.6+ as I have heard 2400's, and 2500's

Agreed. Likely the 2800+ will come from the same silicon they are making the 2400-2600's, meaning that overclocking results will be near the same only at a surely higher price. I wouldn't be suprised if the 2800+ comes with a 1.5-1.55v default vcore to assure it's stability(if this is possible with laptops, I'm thinking desktop hardware).

You heard it wrong. According to poll in extremesystems you have better chance for overclocking with higher number. Meaning 2600 is better than 2500 and that one is better than 2400. Not by much but still. 50-100 MHz makes a heck of a difference for me.
