KG will be wolves for life, he has too much pride in them. Althought I would like him to win a championship with anybody, poor guy.

does anyone know how long Kevin Garnett's contract is for and when it ends??
i'm thinking he has 2 more seasons, if so, then the Nets might have a shot at getting him. WOW, that would be nice.
Why would he take a huge paycut? Are the TWolves strapped for cash? If anyone deserves the Larry Bird exception, it's Garnett.Originally posted by: Storm
After this upcoming season right? I dont know if he will stay unless he takes a huge paycut. Isnt he making 20+ million?

Here's a link with a list of teams contracts and when they're up for renewal: linky
I think Kevin Garnett's says it's up at the end of 2004 season. So you're right. 2 more seasons.

The Knicks will not get under the cap in my lifetime, at the rate they are going, so they have no shot. The Nets... well, Dikembe's contract isn't up soon enough for it to work-out, unless KG signs a one-year extension (not likely), and losing that off the cap will be necessary to sign KG (though maybe not enough, as K-Mart is up for a resign after next year, and you can bet he's getting a huge deal (Kidd + KMart at max == tough salary cap).
Anyone know, btw, what the Nets are doing about Lucious Harris?

A lot of people would give Tim Duncan the nod over KG, but there's no question KG has been the TWolve's heart and soul for a few seasons now. Unfortunately for him, he's never had much of a surrounding cast to make a run in the playoffs. If you want to dispute that notion, all I have to say is Szczerbiac is his #2.
Now whether he's willing to stay with a small market team that has trouble recruiting top-flight talent isn't a question I can answer.
