However today i was watching a romantic movie that had a sad ending, where the guy kills himself for his girlfriend.(The name of the movie was Aashiqui 2, its a Bollywood movie, look it up if you want to). In a final scene, the girl sits on a beach staring into the horizon thinking about the guy, and that scene+background music had me in tears.

Spoiler alert

When I had to put my cat down, I balled like a little bitch.

It took me over a week to get over the loss of my cat. I cried every day. Even thinking about it now still gets me kinda choked up and sad.

There is nothing wrong with a grown man crying. Unless your goal in life is to be a sociopath, then by all means suppress your feelings.

I always get teary in sad movies. Don't give a shit. My mates might look at me with the "WTF face", but you can see in their eyes that they are holding back. Crying is a natural thing, the whole "Be a man" thing is just so primitive.

Pain doesn't usually make me cry, but i will cry from pain if it goes over a certain threshold.

I cried at my grandfather's funeral. Rule of thumb is it's best to avoid frothy emotional displays in public.

I haven't cried from physical pain since I was a child and the only time I've cried over emotional pain is when my dad died a couple weeks ago. The best I can do for sad movies and such is get slightly choked up. Even when my dad died I only cried twice the day after and I was over it. I wish I felt more.
I don't think there is anything wrong with crying for men or women unless you are doing it for every little thing or EVERY slightly sad movie, in which case you are annoying to be around.

Only two times come to mind. When our 15 year old dog was put to sleep and when my dad died of cancer.

A man can cry when he wants to cry! He's a man, and stands above the opinion of his peers.
He does what he wants, when he wants, the world is his oyster!

Cry away, and if someone looks at you awkwardly, you put a horse head in their bed, or steal their wife and rape their daughter.

It's a man's world.

I cried numerous times when I was dealing with my cat dying rapidly of cancer. I also cried when I found out Star Citizen would be F2P.

When is it okay for a guy to cry?

When you are ready to hand in your manhood and become a little girl.

I think there are only 3 legal occasions for a man to cry:

1- When beer is spilled
2- When a dog dies
3- Nutshot

To get out of speeding tickets.

This thread is not when is it okay for a straight guy to blow a cop.

Other people do that too right? Crying never worked, but sensually licking my lips and glancing at their crotch has gotten me out every time.

Everything a boy needs to know about being a man can be learned from listening to The Who's It's Hard album.

Conversely, listening to Pink Floyd's The Wall tells you everything about being a whiny wuss. That whole album is about how Roger Waters had a bad childhood.

When a pet dies. I had one real bad afternoon when we lost our dog in September when I came home from work a few days after it happened and nobody else was home and she wasn't there.
