It's not cool to swear in the office ever, basically.
Though that doesn't really stop me.

I don't personally swear much at all but no one cares where I work.

Gotta love this one lady... "xxxx, shut the fvck up!" was like the first thing I heard her say to someone when I started (joking of course).

As one of my friends who works there said, no subject is taboo in the lab I work in. :) And there are all like mid-40s people working heh.

There are offices that frown on swearing?

I say so long as you're not using it to insult someone, swearing should be fine. Don't use it in front of customers or the boss (unless you're certain the boss is cool with it or you're dealing with a very friendly customer)

It depends on the formality of your workplace. I'd get fired if I even thought about cursing when I'm in a meeting with professors discussing multi-million-dollar research proposals, but I curse very frequently when I'm downstairs in the lab with my coworker peers. It all depends.

Feel around by observing your environment. "When in Rome..."

When I start my car company, I want a very informal workplace to promote creative thinking.

It's nteresting that those are all on the middle row, typed by the left hand. Even "hell" is sometimes inappropriate. Then there's "jerk," "jack" (used with other words), "loser," and the all-important curse...

"You're such a semicolon!"
