After workout. No more than 1 hour after, anywhere from 0-30 minutes after is best.

and don't say (eat more),

THat's your problem, 99% think they eat enough, yet they really don't. Eating 2000-3000 calories a day is NOT enough if you want to gain LBM (lean body mass). Eat 4500-5000 GOOD clean calories (lean meats, etc, protein suppliment drinks, eggs, poultry, fish, you get it now) and lay out a good workout routine and it'll be fairly easy. After reaching your desired size, simply cut back down to your maintenance diet of 2500-3000 Calories.

yup.

You should also take your protein sup on days you don't work out as well. Your muscles are still recovering and rebuilding themselves days after a workout. consistency is the key... with food intake and workouts.

ditto mate. Thats what I was going to say. People who say they eat alot and don't gain weight are wrong. They are not eating enough or training enough or properly. You train properly 3x a week and eat properly YOU WILL GAIN weight EASILY. But it takes time.

Also forgot to add. You should eat 2hrs before training. Also have a good intake of oranges. Help with the recovery process.

No OJ, just straight oranges. There is extra sugars and additives in OJ that you don't need. Just eat an orange and you will be good.

Don't be disappointed if you are unable to gain muscle mass. I tried for over a year to gain muscle mass through proper means (under doctors advise) and I was unable to gain muscle mass. Some people aren't supposed to be big and buff.
