When is Dell going to get with the program?

Toshiba and Sony are already selling notebooks with the Go5600. How in the hell can Sony and Toshiba for that matter, beat Dell to the punch? When is Dell going to offer it's notebooks with either the go5600 or Mobility 9600 Pro? I want a widescreen notebook so I'm stuck waiting.

Isn't the mobile Ti4200 fast enough.

Why do you need a notebook with such a fast gpu, your desktop look like a fine system.

Selling doesn't mean shipping. I'm sure notebooks with the Go5600 are in very short supply if available at all.

JZilla is right - even the Go5600 will suck compared to your desktop. I've always said "Notebook for work, Desktop for GAMES" 😀

I am only bringing a notebook to college so i am hotly anticipating the hitachi 7k60 and dx9 mobile parts coupled with a PM so i can have something much closer to a desktop replacement and retain 4+ hrs battery life.

I'm in the same boat here. I need a notebook for college but would like to be able to play some games, too! I keep hoping for a Radeon 9600 Mobility to get into the 600m or D600!

nVidia had great OEM relations with Toshiba, thats why. Infact, nVidia usually gives Toshiba first dibs on their notebook videocards. Never knew about Sony though.

I think it's weird too. I can go into Circuit City RIGHT NOW and buy a Sony 16" model with a Geforce 5600. It's got an SiS chipset though, and I'm leary about non-intel chipsets.

I'm used to Dell gettin GPUs first, and at this rate they're going to be last. Well, aside from IBM (and we're still waiting on Apple too).
