I still havent played this game, MW1 was nice game.

This price for this game 59.99 is to much for my financial situation.

When yall think it will go on sale 50 percent off,,,, maybe when BlackOps arrives,,,, sighs

CoD games almost never go on sale. And when they do it isn't anything to write home about, the best I've seen was the recent sale on CoDs 1-5 for $30. I doubt MW2 will be on sale anytime soon.

59.99 is the way of the future. Like I mentioned in the other post about this game, it will be a long long time before you see a price drop on this game. Steep price to pay just to blow through the single player in a couple of hours and then to try and endure the lack of dedicated servers plus whatever cheaters remain.

Not long ago Steam temporarily had a 'COD Package' with a lower price and it had every game in there except for MW2. It's intentional.

ROFL half off he says. The first Modern Warfare still retails for $30 for the PC version according to gamestop, so don't hold your breath.

I suggest getting it on a console instead if you can as well, given that you can avoid cheaters that way. I know a lot of people always point it out, but the lack of dedicated servers is really a non-issue.

Note that by purchasing COD-MW2 you are supporting the consolization of PC gaming and thus the destruction of PC gaming. It might be better to get Battlefield Bad Company 2 or an older FPS that people still play (Team Fortress or even the older Unreal Tournament 2004 if you can find it cheap.

A few months ago I saw W@W for sale $50 used. Might have been longer, but it was after MW2 came out.

Buy what's fun, consolization isn't even a word and there's no difference in nature between BC2 and MW2, they are just shooters. Just play what you enjoy most.

I wouldn't go that far. Most of the servers I've been on in COD4 and 5, there were some dedicated admins who would boot out cheaters.

In MW2, you have to find a new game because cheaters wont leave.

The price would not be so bad if you could actually resell the game after playing. Ive always wondered in countries like England is there any consumer protection laws covering game reselling?

Play it on a console then. As much as I prefer mouse/kb, the cheating found in most shooters on the PC drove me away.

I did, at the beginning. I stopped playing on the 360 because of the various hacks being used (namely the exploding javelin glitch) and the inability for activision/microsoft to get patches in a decent amount of time. I ended up selling it because I was sick of that.

I got MW2 for pc because it was free with my video card. I don't play it much tho.

It's been a while since I read about its issues, but the consolization took the form of being unable to own or manage private servers and of players not really having a server browser. My understanding is that when you go to play online, you are sent to a random server. Also, I don't think the game supports custom content, which used to be a hallmark of PC FPS gaming.

+1. I will never buy MW2 for this reason.

BFBC2 all the way...it's a blast. Plenty of great servers and the admins come down hard on cheaters plenty quick. It's the only game I've been playing the past 2 months.

So many PC gamers out there have no idea how good people can actually get on the PC so they automatically cry hacks on any decent player they find. I've probably only seen about 10 actual cheaters in about 12 years of PC gaming. That's not very many over a long period of time.

It helps me decide who's actually cheating because I'm one of the people getting accused of hacking all the time by people that have no idea how to use sound to their advantage. These are the same poeple that think quick mouse movements are an aimbot also.

I also got accused of cheating several times. I have seen LOTS of cheaters, especially during my time as a punksbusted admin. I know exactly what the difference is between talent and cheating. I've personally banned more people from a server in 1 year than you have seen in 12, so you are just lucky.

Don't buy it... it's an 'orphan' game... most of the creative team has left the company. Buy 'Battlefield:Bad Company2' instead ... better...
