When is Antec P180 coming out?

I have the 1100b and despite the fact that the 180 looks like a winner, I think the Lian-li is simply exquisite. Indeed, Antec pretty much shamelessly copied it's internal design with the 180... and because the Lian-li is such a brilliant case, I don't blame them.

A case is something that is future-proof... you're not going to need to "upgrade" it for a very very long time. Go with the 1100b, I promise you get everything you pay for.

BTX is coming ..... eventually. It could be a year or two, but btx (or something else) will replace ATX within a few years, so your case investment won't last forever.

I believe Antech was suggesting the end of February for delivery of the P180, but who knows. They don't seem to meet their target dates very often.

The P180 looks interesting but I'm not sure of the cooling; all the air must come in from tiny slits in the side of the front bezel and then take a 90 degree turn to enter the front fan. All the "thermal management" inside the case will go to waste if the air comming in is restricted too much. Not sure.

Except for a MB tray and reset button (the omission of the latter being more of an irritant then anything else). I wonder why Lian Li left these obvious items out.

I also have the V1100b case and wouldn't even THINK of using anything else for my own systems anymore. I've used other brands, and Lian-Li easily beats them all when it comes to attention to detail in the construction. Opening up the side panel really is tool free, even though others promise it few actually are. I can secure the side panels with the screws (included, and actually a part of the case) and not need a single tool to remove the side panels later. It's also the quietest case I've used to date. So much quieter than all others that I've been doing everything possible to get it even more silent (without going to liquid cooling or having parts of the cooling items in another room).

As for BTX, I wouldn't be surprised if it goes the way of RDRAM...

btx is dumb. hopefully it'll never come out.
