When in Rome, do as the Romans do...

This is for all you people out there that do nothing but bash SUV and truck drivers.

I live in the frozen north (Alaska) and I'm getting sick and tired of you pricks who drive cars like jackasses and hold the rest of us up. I will admit that it is possible to drive a car here to get around and not drive like an idiot, but that is an extreme minority here. Most people in cars will sit at an intersection and just spin their tires..... on ice. You aren't going to get anywhere by spinning your damned tires on ice.

Next, don't drive in the middle of the fvcking street. There are two lanes on each side of the road, NOT one. and GDit, stay between the lines!

Next, if you have a RWD drive car, DON'T drive down a steep icey driveway and expect me to pull you out in my truck. Your ass is gonna call a fvcking tow truck if you were stupid enough to drive down a steep drive with 2wd.

Next, don't cut someone off and then just sit and spin in the left lane.

Next, don't drive 85mph in a 55mph zone.... this goes for everyone.

Anyway, if you live here... do as the Alaskan's do, buy a truck or SUV. If you choose not to buy one, don't bother asking me to pull your ass out of a ditch (I've been asked 6 times this year already, 5 were cars, 1 was 2wd ricer truck)

I believe there are times SUVs make sense, and times when they are stupid. Driving around seals and innuits sounds like an SUV time, driving around DC looking for a party does not. Just my opinion, Im done.

I am with Jugernot on this one. Your car does not have 4 wheel drive. stop fricking driving it like it does. Granted the $40-$60 I charge you to pull your ass out of that ditch helps, but you are beginning to annoy me.

FWD does not a snow car make. Get the hell out of my way, I have somewhere to be.

Different place but similar situation: The Beach.

Loose, deep sand. Everything from family vans to punk kids in lowered Hondas just love to drive their vehicles into the deep stuff. And get stuck. Then they love to whine "C'mon man...you've got a 4x4, pull me out, dude!"

I smile and say "$20 or 15 minutes with the woman...your choice." After they pick their jaw up off the floor, I make a quick $20.

:D

Unless it's an elderly couple...then I'm happy to help them, free of charge. Or "other request." :Q

lol

unfortunately, most American's who own SUV's do not live in Alaska, or any other state requiring the frequent use of 4wd.

I saw 4 hummers last week - this in Columbus, Ohio: Alaska it aint.

Choice is a great thing, isn't it.

Years ago, I had a Honda CRX. Tiny little Matchbox car. Was down at the beach. The car honestly was so damn light that it NEVER got stuck. Until one day I ventured too far and got stuck.

There were about a dozen others around me stuck as well; they had just redone the sand and it wasn't packed yet...it was more like quicksand.

Anyway, along come these two perfect examples of human inbreeding (from West Virginia, I'd imagine. ;)) in one of the biggest monster pickups I'd ever seen. 40-inch bogger tires, you get the idea.

They came and charged $20 a pop to pull everyone out. Didn't even strain their truck in the least...they damn near launched my CRX OVER their truck when they yanked it out. No finesse at all...just hook the strap up and nail the throttle.

They made about $240 or so in about 30 minutes. Not bad. :D

population of US, 225,000,000 or so

one of the few places I can't be mad at an SUV driver...
