When I see stuff like this it hammers home how fragile human's planetary dominance might be

I feel the real AI threat is not so much robots, but automated computerized decisions. Like eventually they may replace government services with AI. Then people may be denied things like passports etc because of something you did or said online that was badly interpretted by the AI. Kinda like how youtube often demonetizes videos because it thinks someone sweared but it's a word that just sounds like a swear. Imagine that kind of AI taking over every day life things. And you will have nobody to complain or try to get help from because it will just be all automated.

Automated law enforcement would be another big threat. Based on your purchases, or places you've been it might think you're a terrorist and then you get arrested. The cops would have no say because they just follow what the AI told them to do, and you would have no access to a lawyer because the AI is always right and you don't need a lawyer. I could see stuff like that happen in the near future. Basically every aspect of our lives will be ruled by a central AI. Though I could also see that only happen near the tribulation and the mark of the beast etc would play a role in all of that.

I don't know bout the AI part but the Japanese are pretty far ahead with humanoid form robotics. They have models on the market that you or I can buy. While they can't do backflips yet they are more practical for everyday living.

Program the robot to do it. Let it get a taste for blood.

Feast on creator's chum.

It could have a DNA analyst sensor and then use that info to tap into the governments data center for matches and then hunt all living generations of the creator.

Would make a cool movie. Could name it, "There could only be none!"

You just reminded me of the time the mods said we couldn't use the word savages and Desert Eagle got banned for saying cabbages.

The way to beat armed robots is to wait for the battery to run down. With a fixed location AI, you beat it by unplugging it.

I've been thinking about applying for a job with these guys. Right down the road from me. Killer robots never go after their creators.

That's what the killer robots want us to think, otherwise we wouldn't create them.
