when i put on a video, i only see green screen

Hi,

when i put on a video using WMP version 9 .

i only see green screen with some numbers on the left upper side of the screen.

i installed ffdshow.

so what is going on?
do i have to install more codec?

get gspot it'll tell what codecs the video uses and if you have them
