When I power on system the display's led go from blinking yellow to blinking green...??

Today I performed an upgrade on my system. I installed a new motherboard and a new video adapter but I can't get it to work properly.

The display passes the monitor "self-test" when no cable from video card is attached.

When I plug in the cable and the computer is turned off the led on the display blinks yellow since it is not getting any signal. When I turn my computer on the display led instead starts to blink green but I still don't get any video (just black) so I don't know what to try next.

Unfortunately the old motherboard has AGP-video and the new motherboard has PCI-E video so I can't try the old video card in my new mobo.

I guess my display is working ok.
I have reseated all cables and the video card several times.

What can I try next and what does a blinking green light on my monitor mean?
