Never watched NCIS, but they've been doing this "zoom in and enhance" crap in movies for at least 20 years.

At least when they do it in Star Trek there is a possibility they actually have the technology to do it. It's not a stretch to believe they record in some uber resolution 300 years in the future.

Deckard: Enhance 224 to 176. Enhance, stop. Move in, stop. Pull out, track right, stop. Center in, pull back. Stop. Track 45 right. Stop. Center and stop. Enhance 34 to 36. Pan right and pull back. Stop. Enhance 34 to 46. Pull back. Wait a minute, go right, stop. Enhance 57 to 19. Track 45 left. Stop. Enhance 15 to 23. Give me a hard copy right there.

I can forgive it in Blade Runner to a degree...future and all that stuff, but in CSI...heh, no.

I like all the sound effects added, too. e.g. when they zoom into a still image, there is a 'whooshing' sound. WTF?
