it suppose to copy the screen to bitmap, but where does it save in windows xp?

What do you mean click printscreen?

You mean Ctrl+Print Screen?

Anyway, it saves it to the clipboard, just like everything else.

You may have to do an Alt-PrintScreen.
It goes to the clipboard.
Then Ctrl-V will paste the picture wherever you want. MS Paint will work.

Alt+PrtScrn does just the active window.
PrtScrn does whatever is on the monitor.
just paste into an imaging program. I use Irfanview. (freeware)

You don't have to hold down ctrl while using Printscreen. CTRL just tells it to only take the current window.
