It will be better than composite. Things should be more well defined and clearer, colors richer ectera. It's worth it, IMO.

Definitely worth it, especially if you plan on playing games with a lot of text or stats. SVideo makes it readable.

The jump in quality from composite to S-Video is readily apparent. The whites are less green. The reds bleed less.

I just got a tv tuner card, and I played some games on it with s-video, and mercenary4hire is right, it makes the text a lot easier to read. That was the biggest thing I noticed.

I like acoustic research... Near monster cable quality for 50-70% less. It would probably run you 15-20. but there is a HUGE difference between composite and s-video. Everything is so much clearer and like other people said, text is much easier to read, it is white instead of blue/green/red...

no free anti-aliasing with S-video though ;)

The game will definitely look more blocky, but the text will be a big difference.

What console?

I could definitely tell the difference from going regular RCA to S-Video for my Gamecube on my TV Tuner and my eyes are horrible.

As others said, most noteable on text and human figures for me.
