When formatting a new drive...

Just wondering if it makes a difference in selecting a quick format or a normal one

None i can think of. I suppose it might pick up defects in the hard drive but i'm far from sure on even that much.

I would do a normal one on a new drive, it doesn't take that much longer.

I always do full format on a new drive. Once it has been done once if I need to erase it I'll use quick format after that.
