Okay, so we were at my friends house for his annual party. Things were going okay and then my buddy trots over with his nipple looking like someone took a cheese grater to it. Turns out a bluegill/bluegills had ravagely been biting his nipples. He stated that the first time he was just standing there in the water, and the last bite he was actually SWIMMING on his back when the fish attacked.

Now, I have seen bluegills bite when a person is dead calm in the water for almost a minute, but these fish had 0 fear of humans. They were attacking while moving. I moved in the water and looked at them and they swam around my feet and investigated me 24/7. No matter where we were on the beach they would go to us. I've never seen this behavior before. This is a fairly small lake, with little traffic. He rarely uses his beach. Any of you ever experienced have any other types of stories to relate? I have heard the grandiose stories of turtles, but never seen or witnessed turtle bites.

I had a fish swim up my swim trunks when I was 12...got stuck in the mesh lining. That hurt like a son-of-a-bitch.

I bite nipples but not toes...and not hard enough to cause pain.

Dude, time to get your fishing license!!! Are these fish good eating?

Oh, we brought out some fishing poles in a futile attempt to get our revenge. No matter what type of artificial bait we used they wouldn't take it. We managed to catch one, but he wasn't in the vicinity of the offending parties. We needed some earthworms, but didnt have any available to us.

I live on a lake so we do a lot of lake swimming. My 10 year old bled from a fish bite once; I have a mole in my middle back that they freaking love to bite - drives me crazy. And it happens a LOT, virtually every time I swim. Sometimes I'll put a band-aid over it just to keep the fish away. And yes, it's always bluegill.

I catch bluegills a lot with bread, as weird as it sounds.
