Question When exactly did Asus fire their entire support department?

Over the past few years Asus has developed a (bad) reputation for providing close to zero support, but it wasn't always that way - back in the day they were just as good as Gigabyte and MSI. Just when did things change for the worse at Asus?
 
But something is fishy. When I tried to sell my Geforce 3060 Ti Founder's Edition, the local shopkeepers in Abu Dhabi pointed out that it wasn't an ASUS card. So either the ASUS models are highly sought after by the gamers here or the ASUS distributors have themselves created some sort of Apple-like high priced exclusivity to make everyone think that ASUS is the best brand. It could also be that ASUS is somehow incentivizing the shopkeepers.
