ok, I filed and paid through H&R block this season for year 2004...everything was good, so I thought.

got a letter from IRS today, in it contains for 1040-es form with 3 envelopes for payment. It scared the sh1t outta me, I thought H&R block screwed up, and the taxman is after me.

So, I called up my local office to find out what's going on and they told me it's an estimated "pre-payment" system. Basically, if you've owed them for year 2003(regardless of the fact if you've paid it off), they want you to get a head start in year 2004 and start you off with a payment plan.

whew! I thought I was in trouble...if there's any government agency you don't want to mess with...it's the IRS :p ;)

I dunno, it could always be a refund.;)

Anyways, if H&R screws up they're responsible. They do sign the form before they submit it.
