When does win7 trial version stop working?

I googled it and got several different answers, June, july and aug 1st.

btw, right click on computer/properties/ windows activation doesn't show a date.

What do you mean by trial version?

If it is the RC1, then it would reduce functioning by March and stop working by June.

I.e., you would Not lose data until June. But if you need a functional computer you should upgrade in March.

If it is Trial RTM it depends on whether it is 60,90,120 days offer, and the date that you installed it.

.

If you mean the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC), it'll start rebooting itself every two hours beginning March 1, 2010.

How do I tell what version it is?

It has actually started freezing on me every few days but I didn't connect that to the os but.. even the reset button won't work when that happens.

Win-7 RC1 displays an Id the lower right side of the screen.

The reset button is hardware, it does not relate to the OS.

ah.. it says

Windows 7
Evaluation copy.Build 7100

Yap this is Win 7 RC1.

Should be fully functional for another 10 weeks.

However, take a look at the System screen make sure it says activated.

It is is Not, then reactivate.

That's it exactly. No point in waiting to buy it I guess. win 7 ultimate costs $350 here in canada but I doubt it'll go on sale anytime soon at this 32 bit version doesn't use all my ram anyway.

Thanks.
